"HELPING THROUGH THE VALLEYS OF LIFE"

About Us

VISION

The vision of Valley Ministries is to see individuals and families grow in Christian maturity and grace through various forms of writing, counselling, teaching and discipling on an individual and family basis.

AIM

The aim of Valley Ministries is to facilitate and support various ministries in so far as they promote wholeness and well-being of individuals and families through various acts of Christian expression.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe every person is created in the image of God for the purpose of a relationship with Him and each other. We also believe the sovereignty of each individual is a God given gift to be treated with the utmost respect and honour. We purpose to meet people "in their valleys" and "at their point of need". Our philosophy is therefore to inspire people to a deeper and more dependant walk with God whilst respecting them as individuals with freedom of choice.

ETHICS

Where people are involved with the lives of others, whatever the capacity, then a high standard of strict confidentiality is maintained. Those involved in counselling others are required to comply with supervision requirements and follow the 'Code of Practice and Ethics' set down by the New Zealand Christian Counsellors Association.

HISTORY

The work of Valley Ministries began unofficially in 1991 with a response to the counselling needs of others and the exercising of a call to write poems and stories. Since then the vision has developed and countless lives have been changed. Valley Ministries was incorporated as a Charitable Trust in March 2003.
